Sharon D Rountree

Sharon D. Rountree, age 70, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, surrounded by her family at Park Ridge Medical Center in Chattanooga. Sharon was born February 13, 1952, to the late George and Margie Cagle Cunningham. She was a lifelong resident of Spring City, TN, and a member of the St. Clair Baptist Church. Sharon was once employed at the Southern Silk Mill in Spring City, and later went to work in Document Control for TVA at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, where she retired. Sharon loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking Sunday meals and having all her family together, and she always made sure her family was taken care of. She never met a stranger, and everyone who knew her, loved her. Although she was small, Sharon’s personality was larger than life. She also loved dancing and singing old country and gospel songs. Aside from her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Joni Prather Cunningham. She is survived by

daughter and son-in-law:   Michelle and Tate Fugate of Spring City

son and daughter-in-law:   Jason and Katy Trotter of Athens, TN

Niece and husband:            Lexi and Dustin Crumley of Cleveland, TN

Granddaughter:                    Mary Kanipes (Fiancé Tim) of Spring City, TN

Grandson:                             Colten Trotter of Athens, TN

She also leaves behind her dog, Cujoe, who her family all agrees was her favorite

The family would also like to thank special family and friends Lisa Cunningham, Amy Bartley, and Michelle Houston for caring for her during these past few months.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Bro. Freddy Cunningham and Bro. Jim Didlake officiating. Graveside and interment service will be on Monday, January 2^, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Sharon D Rountree.
