Ora Edsell Jones

Edsell Jones, 76, of the Chestnut Ridge Community in Deer Lodge, TN, passed away peacefully at his home, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and simple joys. He was a true father to Todd Conley, Travis Jones, Natasha Davis (Dusty), and Joshua Jones and a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was a brother to Willie (Linda) Jones, Byrl Jones, Martha Capps, and Bryant Jones, as well as multiple nieces and nephews, and all of whom brought him immeasurable happiness.

Edsell is now reunited with his beloved parents, Hattie and Norman Jones, his cherished sisters Rena, Mary, Paulette, his brothers Wade and Timothy Jones, and his beloved son, Richard Jones.

A man who found beauty in life's simple moments, Edsell loved front porch sittin' and shootin' the breeze with anyone and everyone willing to share a conversation. He had a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand or offer the shirt off his back. His warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will take place at Hillview Baptist Church in Deer Lodge, TN on Friday April 25, 2025 from 5:15 pm to 5:45 pm with a service starting at 6:00 pm with Pastor Nathan Beasley officiating. Interment will take place afterwards at Edsell Jones Cemetery in Deer Lodge, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that everyone bring a prepared food dish for the celebration part of the service. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Edsell Jones.
