Mrs. Ruth Ann Johnson Cook, age 76, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1944 in Easley, South Carolina. Mrs. Cook was a retired Microfilmer with the Tennessee Valley Authority. She loved fabric and enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, and especially quilting. Ruth loved children and was happiest when she had a baby in her arms or a child in her lap. She was an amazing cook, especially known for her peanut brittle from coast to coast, and shipped it everywhere to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ola Faye Johnson; infant daughter, Christine Cook; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elbridge & Isabel Cook.

And many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, September 21, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Bro. Kevin Terry officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the Glen Alice Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee. Kevin Acres, Eddie Szymanski, Joshua Acres, Ryan Acres, Mike Monday, Toby Miles, and Scott Shannon will serve as Pallbearers, and Earl Johnson and Terry Burchett will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
