Mrs. Mary Ruth Waldo

Mrs. Mary Ruth Waldo, age 83, a resident of Daysville community of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Roane Medical Center, Harriman, Tennessee. She was born March 1, 1936 near Whites Creek in Roane County, Tennessee. Ruth was a member of the Glen Alice Christian Church in Rockwood and was a retired Retail Clerk from J.C. Penney in Rockwood. She was also known for making great banana pudding. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger William Niles and Nona Lee Rutledge Niles; husband, Leland “Dock” Waldo; and brothers, Bill Niles and Jim Niles.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Bro. Bud Strader officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the Glen Alice Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
