Mrs. Linda Marie Essex

Mrs. Linda Marie Essex, age 66 of Kingston, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 while on vacation enjoying time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was born October 8, 1952 in Rockwood, TN. daughter of the late Ira & Linda Lawson. With Strong will power, Linda received her GED with three small children. Later in life, she was also an honors graduate from Roane State College and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was a life-long member of the Baptist Faith. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Linda always said “ I am one of God’s most special friends.” She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold David Essex, Sr.; parents, Ira and Linda Lawson; sons, Gary Michael Essex and Matthew Ross Essex; sister, Joyce Hill; brother-in-law, James Essex and Ed Hill. She is Survived by: Daughter: Cynthia Essex of Kingston, TN. Son: Harold David Essex, Jr. (Juana) Essex of Crossville, TN. 4 Grandchildren: Stephanie Sparks (Steve), Doyle, TN. Sarah Essex,  Samantha Essex, Bradley Essex of Crossville, TN. 4 Great-grandchildren: Kadge Sparks, Macabre Sparks, Eghan Sparks and Sawyer Sparks Of Doyle, TN. Sisters: Estella Essex of Evansville, TN.   Doris Janow of Kingston, TN. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Evans Mortuary. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 2:30 pm in the chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Mike Reagan officiating. Interment and graveside service will be held in the Friendship Cemetery in Spring City, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Linda Marie Essex.
