In the early morning of September the 23rd, Anita Stallings, age 68 of Rockwood, TN, succumbed to complications with Covid-19 and moved on to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Marjorie Smith of Midtown, TN and her sister Sherry Kirkland of Harriman, TN. She leaves behind:
Husband of 49 years: H. Donald Stallings of Rockwood, TN
Two children: Alethea and Jonathan Stallings of Rockwood, TN
Three grandchildren:
Tesa Lea, Garrett, and Cedric Swicegood of Rockwood, TN
Son-in-law: Andy Rollins of Rockwood, TN
Siblings: Teresa Hand of Mayland, TN
Lisa Moneymaker of Karns, TN
Angie Smith of California
David Smith of Texas
And many nieces and nephews.
She was a faithful and devout Christian, who thought it was her duty in life to make others smile laugh and become better people. She will be remembered as one that had a great love for her family, for her extremely kind and gentle heart and spirit, and for encouragement to helping young kids with their reading and education. Also, for the cards and letters she sent out to give hope and joy to others, letting them know that they were not forgotten.
In Lieu of flowers and gifts, the family ask that donations be made to either of three charities she cared for, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, the Shriners, or to the National Fibromyalgia Association (https://fmaware.net/donate/) Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Anita Ruth Stallings.
