Travis John Butler, 43, of Harriman passed away suddenly at his home Thursday April 9, 2020.
Born July 13, 1976 in the Rockwood Mountain Community, to Jane and Carl “Buddy” Butler and
his brother Jason.
Travis was an avid gamer and very active in the online community, leaving behind a number of
close friends all around the world. Travis also enjoyed spending time with his nieces Alexandria,
Megan & Michelle and his nephews Steven & Kevin Butler. He also enjoyed time with his “other”
Mom and Dad, Nancy and Ray Lawhorn of the Grandview Community, as well as his “brothers”
Carl Lawhorn of Grandview, James Lawhorn of Knoxville and his “sister” Sarah (Lawhorn)
Brown of Daysville. He was also an active member of the Chevront United Methodist Church in
Rockwood.
He is survived by his Parents and brother Jason & sister-in-law Janet. His Aunt Evelyn
Davidson of Harriman, Aunt Brenda and Uncle Alan Podruchney of Harriman, Aunt Carol
Bohannon of Crossville, Grandfather Art Mikel of OH, Cousin Lisa Loden of New Hope as well
as many other aunts, uncles, & cousins. Travis is preceded in death by Grandparents Mary
Beard-Podruchny of Rockwood, Vernon & June Hayes of Westel, Jay & Edith (Butler) Gregory
of New Hope, Emma Mikel of OH, and Elmer Butler of New Hope.
A small family gathering and private burial will be held on Wednesday April 15th, 2020. In lieu of
flowers donations may be made in Travis’ name to St Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
