Mr. Michael “Hollywood” Rutherford

Mr. Michael Dean “Hollywood” Rutherford, age 53 of Rockwood, TN passed away Wednesday, February 24^th, 2021. He was born in Hammond, Indiana and ended up in Rockwood, TN and went into the Navy for a short time. After being in the Navy he was able to pursue a passion he had since he was little and became a truck driver. He did this  for 32 plus years where he earned his nickname “Hollywood” for carrying all of his essential items to make him look professional. He is of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist in Rockwood, TN. He always was a hardworking man that loved his trucking family and his own family just alike. He was a selfless man and always put others first which showed in his wishes to be an organ donor. This way he lives on forever and someone else can take on life each day with his help. He is preceded in death by his grandmother: Helen Hudgins; and his sister: Cyndi Gibson. He is survived by:

And uncles, four nephews, one niece, a host of cousins and numerous friends from his trucking career.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Evans Mortuary from 6:00-8:00 pm. Thursday, March 4, 2021 a service will be held at Evans Mortuary at 1:30 pm with Pastor Marty Shadoan officiating and interment will follow at Glen Alice Cemetery in Rockwood, TN.
