Mr. Jimmy Forsythe “Papaw Jim” McLean, age 79, a resident of the Westel community of Rockwood, Cumberland County, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1939 in the Westel Community of Cumberland County. Jim has gone home to see Jesus and his loved ones who have gone before him. Jim was a carpenter almost all of his life. Jim loved his Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren. His favorite place to be was church. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Rockwood. He loved to fish, garden, and tinker with anything he could find. He was a sweet, loving “Papaw” to everyone he met, and always had a smile on his face. He loved and was loved by so many, and he will be deeply missed by everyone. He was reunited in death by his father and mother, C. B. & Della McLean; brothers, Ralph, Earl, Bill, Ed, and Leonard McLean; sister, Linda McLean; and many more who have gone on before him.

                                                Jimmy B. McLean of Soddy Daisy, TN

Grandchildren:                     Coty Kutil, Rachel McLean, Travis Crowe, Sydney Higdon, Keely Kutil, Brylee Nail, and Caylee Nail

Great-Grandchildren:          Caden Kutil, Levi Crowe, and Bunny Kutil

Special Nephews:               Billy (Gail) McLean, Charles (Cristie) McLean, Robby Schafer, Jimmy (Amanda) Schafer, Bobby (Angie) Schafer

Special Niece:                      Maci Schafer

Special Friends:                   Jim Schafer (Special Friend and Brother-in-law), Benny Mullins, David Bailey, Edward Nail, Tom Nail, and Ethel Reed

And a host of many who loved him and called him Papaw, Friend, or Brother.

The family would also like to extend special thanks to Roane Covenant Hospice; to his nurse, Amanda, and all of the other staff that have helped and been there through his last journey in life. We appreciate and love you all. Also, to all our family and friends, we thank you for your love, support, and care in our and his time of need. You are all so appreciated and loved.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Bro. Bobby Schafer, Bro. Jim Schafer, and Bro. Mark Cooley officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the McLean Cemetery in the Westel Community of Cumberland County, Tennessee with Bro. Audie May officiating
