Mr. Gary N. Tate

Mr. Gary N. Tate, age 74 of Harriman, Tennessee passed away at the Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Gary attended New Life Baptist Church in Harriman. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Marine Corp, former EMT at Brushy Mountain Prison, former Manager of Maxwell Funeral Parlor in Harriman in the 1070’s and a former employee of the Harriman Police Department. He also retired from the Harriman Fire Department as Captain. He is preceded in death by his parents, Neil Eugene & Effie Pauline Tate. Survivors include: Wife: Linda Tate of Harriman, TN Daughters: Laura Tate (Brian Stone) of Harriman, TN, Sammi Hamby (Preston) of Oakdale, TN Sons: Jason Tate (Kelly) of Oak Ridge, TN, Michael Jones of Harriman, TN 11 Grandchildren of which he was very proud 1 Great Grandchild Brother: Jerry Tate (Viola) of Harriman, TN Sisters: Barbara Jones of Rockwood, TN, Sandra Nelson of Rockwood, TN The family will receive friends at Evans Mortuary on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 1:00-3:00pm. A Memorial Service will follow from the Chapel with Tommy Kilby and Brett Chambers officiating. The family requests memorials be made to MMRF (Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation), P.O.
