Melissa "Missy" Dowker Green

Melissa “Missy” Dowker Green, age 50, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born May 20, 1974, in Rockwood, Tennessee. Missy was a 1992 graduate of Rockwood High School and a 1995 graduate of Roane State Community College. For a short time she took care of Medical Records at the Rockwood Healthcare Center, but for over 20 years Missy has served as the Office Manager for the offices of Dr. Angela Meadows and Dr. Eric Bowman in Rockwood, a calling she loved, even continuing to take care of the needs there and work from home as her health declined. Missy truly loved caring for all of her patients. She also loved serving in various capacities fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She enjoyed watching the U.T. Vols and going to concerts with her friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Gemma Green; grandmother, Lola Fay Galyon; and aunt, Margaret Butler.

Parents: Jim & Judy Dowker of Rockwood, TN

And several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other relatives, and many Special Friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Roger Britton officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Roane County Paws. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is serving the family of Melissa “Missy” Dowker Green.
