Mary Alice Townley

Mrs. Mary Alice Townley, age 82 of Kingston, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on December 20, 1942, in Ducktown, TN. She was an active member of New Life Church of God in Harriman (Midtown), which her family actually helped to start. She enjoyed her gospel music and being with her family. She was a former surgical tech and worked at several area hospitals, such as Harriman City Hospital and Bradley Memorial Hospital in Cleveland, TN. She was a huge fan of QVC and could always be found watching it to find all the deals. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents: Alonzo & Praise Curtis; husband: L.B. Townley; brother: Don Curtis; sister-in-law: Marilyn Curtis; and son-in-law: Sheriff David B. Haggard. She leaves to cherish her memory:

Daughters: Angela Haggard, Rhonda Townley, and Darla Kolski (Ed)

Grandchildren: Jessica Myers, Quentin Kolski, and Brody Kolski

Great Granddaughter: Emerson Myers

Brothers: Jim Curtis (Ginger), Jerry Curtis (Becky), and Ken Curtis (Mary)

along with a host of several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Dr. Ottis Ball, and Rev. Nick Kevorkian officiating. Graveside and interment services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, with officiant Rev. Jeff Blackburn .
