Mary Elizabeth Mcculley Stevenson

Mary Elizabeth McCulley Stevenson, age 80 of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak ridge, TN. She was born in Bessemer, Alabama on February 21, 1938 and her family moved to Rockwood in July of 1943. She was active in the band and was a majorette in High School. Mary was also active in the Rainbows and Eastern Star for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockwood, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. “Mac” McCulley and Mildred McCulley; husband, Earl Dean Stevenson. Survivors Include: Daughter: Shaunda Slaght (Earl) of Highland CA. 2 Grandchildren: Jacob Slaght, Zavier Slaght Sisters:  Norma Newman (Dave) of Hemet, CA.   Charlotte Tolliver of Mohawk, TN.  Loretta Carrington (Ken) of Kingston, TN. Several nieces, nephews and cousins Cremation plans have been made. Graveside service will be held in the Veterans Cemetery at a later date. The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Rockwood or Parkinson’s Disease Research Foundation.  Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mary Elizabeth McCulley Stevenson.
