Lela Christine Cofer Reed

Mrs. Lela Christine Cofer Reed, age 90 of Rockwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on May 6^th, 1930 in Roane County. She was a member of the Clymersville Baptist Church in Rockwood. She was a longtime employee of Emery’s 5 & 10, and she retired from Kroger. She was a big supporter of the Rockwood Rams, Rockwood High School, and UT Vols and Lady Vols athletics. The family would like to give a special thanks to Caris Hospice for the care and support they showed over the last few years.  She is preceded in death by her parents: Owen & Anna Cofer; Husband: Thomas Reed; Brothers; Howard Cofer, Lawrence Cofer, JC Cofer (Mary). She is survived by:

Sons:                               Thomas Michael Reed Sr. (Kathy)

Grandchildren:            Thomas Michael Reed Jr. (Alicia), Matt Reed, Brian Reed (Ashley), Steven Wiggins, Phillip Wiggins (Christina), and Eric Fairchild

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16^th, 2020 from 9:00 am till 11:00 am in the chapel at Evans Mortuary. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Greg Kelly & Rev. Charles Kelly officiating. Graveside and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Lela Christine Cofer Reed.
