Kenneth Evans

Mr. Kenneth Evans, age 89 of Kingston, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2025. He was born on May 11, 1935. Kenneth spent the early years of his life in Louisiana before settling in East Tennessee in 1989. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He also worked as a professor at Roane State Community College where he taught math and health science courses. He truly enjoyed teaching and making an impact on his student's lives, which was evident in their own care for him. He was a wonderful person to everyone he met. He enjoyed going to the Kentucky Derby and watching horse racing. His true passions were bowling and playing bridge. He played in tournaments all over for both, and often won. He and his wife, Loretta, could always be found at the bowling ally. He is survived by:

Wife: Loretta Carrington

Children: Judy, Ingrid, Michelle, Antoinette, and Kenneth Jr

Step children: Lynn Poole & David Poole (Tammy)

and a host of grandchildren and other extended family members and friends. 

His family would like to express their gratitude for the amazing care given to him from the staff of Signature Healthcare in Rockwood and also the nurses with UT Hospice. 

Cremation arrangements have been made and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Kenneth Evans.
