Justin Tyler Mumford

Justin Tyler Mumford, 37, of Harriman TN, was a bright beacon of light that unexpectedly diminished, on this earth, to shine bright above us in Heaven, on March 21, 2025, at Roane Medical Center in Harriman TN. Justin was born on September 25, 1987, in Springfield, Ohio. He was a devoted and loving husband, son, little brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, to all who knew him. Justin grew up in Urbana, Ohio where he attended Urbana City Schools. He graduated from Life Skills High School in 2006 in Springfield, Ohio. He attended JNA Institute of Culinary Arts in Philadelphia, PA. He was a talented and exceptional cook and baker. He worked as a Sous- Chef on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship in Hawaii. He owned Mumford’s Confectionery Creations, where he blessed many with his amazing and beautiful cakes. With his devoted husband, Cody, they created and ran their homestead business, Gypsy Cove. Justin took pride in his homemade sauces, candles, apparel, and their home-grown veggies! He loved spending time with Cody, family, and friends. He embraced the many adventures shared with his Aunt Rhonda, who was a 2nd mother to him. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, camping, trail rides in his Jeep, gardening, and raising their animals on the homestead. Justin was employed by Illumifin as a supervisor. He was dedicated to his job and his employees. He always spoke about them as a 2nd family. Justin also spent his weekends doing what he loves, cooking with his good friend, John, who owns Johnnie Good Day’s traveling food truck.

Justin is preceded in death by his father, Roland R. Mumford; and grandparents, Ilah M. (Humble) Miles, Chester E. Miles, Robert H. Mumford, and Carl E. McCain.

Soulmate, life partner, and husband: Cody Brink

His mother: Renee D. (McCain) Younker

Sister: Jennifer (Jason) Mumford Kirby

Grandmother: Anne Marie Anita (Pelletier) Mumford

And several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many Nieces and Nephews who truly adored him.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 28, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary. Cremation arrangements will follow. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is serving the family of Justin Tyler Mumford.
