Joseph Thomas Budnik, age 77, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28, 2019. He was born January 24, 1942 in Bessemer, Michigan. He was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Star of Hope Chapel on Flat Fork
Road in Wartburg, Tennessee. He served in the United States Army as a NATO Advisor. After the Military he began his career at John Manville where he worked for 36 years. He retired in 2004 and moved to Rockwood, Tennessee, with his wife, Peggy. He was preceded in death by his parents Elodise and Joseph Budnik; and brother, Walter Budnik.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Darrel Daugherty officiating. Graveside service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 am in Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee 37854. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 149 Honor Guard. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Star of Hope Chapel, P.O. Box 1651, Harriman, TN. 37748. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Joseph Thomas Budnik.
