Joseph Hackney

Mr. Joseph Hackney, age 70, of Deer Lodge, TN passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 1, 1954 in Bethesda, Maryland. He grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee with parents Richard Ronald Hackney and Lucy Carolyn Chesney Hackney. He was in the fire department service for 27 years and became an assistant chief with the Knoxville Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Hackney. He is survived by:

Grandson: Avery Lewis of Knoxville, TN

Sister: Deborah Reeves (Ted) of Knoxville, TN

Brother: Jeff Hackney (Heather) of Maryville, TN

Special Friend: Peggy Bradley of Knoxville, TN

And a host of nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements have been made and a private family internment will be held at a later date.
