Joe Runkles

Joe Runkles, age 81 of Harriman, passed away on Wednesday, April 28^th, 2021 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was born on April 3^rd, 1940 in Baltimore, MD. Joe was an avid coin, lighthouse, and ship collector and was very proud of his collections. He worked as a truck driver his whole life, last working for Total Transportation. He is preceded in death by his Father: James Runkles; Mother: Othea Estep; and stepmother: Altonia Runkles; Sister: Gwen Boatwright; and brother: Jim Runkles. He is survived by:

Children:          Teresa, Vicky, Tina, Tonia, Valerie, Joe Jr, Jonathan, Betty Mae, and Eddie

Stepson:          Ted Doherty Jr

Brother:           Chuck Runkles

Kurt Runkles

Sister:              Jane Runkles

And numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren

Along with several other nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1^st, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. Memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm with Bro. Greg Noe officiating. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Joe Runkles.
