Helen “Joanne” Watson

Helen “Joanne” Watson, age 89, of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away on February 7, 2022. She was born on December 16, 1932. Joanne was a member of Rockwood First Baptist Church for many years. She was the Valedictorian of her class at Rockwood High School in 1950. She spent her life as a teacher after completing her bachelor’s degree in vocational home economics and her master’s degree in early childhood education, both from the University of Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lee and Ruby Burns Watson.

1 Brother         Howard Watson of Denver, CO

1 Sister            Sandra Watson of Knoxville, TN

2 Nephews      Keith and Kent Watson

1 Niece             Kelly Arter

3 great nephews

The Family will have a celebration of life from 3pm-5pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. With a private inurnment at Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Helen Joanne Watson.
