Geraldine "Jeri" Clem Fulmer

Geraldine "Jeri" Fulmer, 92, of Rockwood, passed away at her home on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born February 8, 1933, in Athens, Alabama. She was a graduate of Rockwood High School. On August 5, 1950, she married U.C. "Buddy" Fulmer. The couple made their home and raised their family in Rockwood, Tennessee. 

Mrs. Fulmer was a secretary for the Rockwood City Schools, working at Central Elementary and Rockwood Jr. High. She also worked for the Rockwood Electric Utility. She retired from Roane State Community College where she worked as a secretary. Later, she enjoyed substituting mainly at Ridge View Elementary. Mrs. Jeri found joy helping teachers any way she could and was devoted to helping every single child she met.

Mrs. Fulmer was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Rockwood. 

Most Importantly, Jeri was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was happiest with her family and so proud of them. If you talked to her, you would know this within a few minutes! She loved attending UT Football and Lady Vol games with her family, traveling the county, more than once, with Buddy and grandchildren whenever possible, baby sitting with love and smiles... just being with her family. She was the best and filled out lives with joy. She loved her family with all her heart. She touched our lives and will be deeply missed.

Jeri was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years and love of her life: U.C. "Buddy" Fulmer; parents: Rube & Beatrice Clem; brothers: Robert & Wade Clem; and sister: Barbara Nance.

Sons: Steve (Buttons) Fulmer of Murrells Inlet, SC, Gary (Kim) of Salisbury, NC

Daughter: Sharon Fulmer Evans of Rockwood, TN

Grandchildren: Michael Evans, Matthew Evans, Harper (Shelby) Evans, Ben Fulmer, Blair (Cannon) Fulmer Vick

Great Grandchildren: Haley, Hannah, Gage, Thomas, Natalee, Jamison, and Jared

Loving Caregivers: Veronica, Julie, Ariel, and Missy

Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members as well as many special friends in the community and her First Christian Church family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Fulmer Residence (203 N Church Ave Rockwood, TN 37854), from 2:00-4:00 pm ET. Graveside and interment services will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm ET in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood with Rev. Nate Williams officiating. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Geraldine "Jeri" Clem Fulmer.
