Mr. Ellis “Red” Coleman, age 86 of Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4th, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare in Knoxville, TN. He was born on January 19th, 1933 in Pikeville, KY. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a disabled veteran and served on the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Coleman was also a member of the North Rockwood Baptist Church. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Scott Coleman & Faye Stiltner; and brother: Earl Coleman. He is survived by:

Wife:                           Brenda Ann Coleman of Rockwood, TN

Sons:                           Steve Coleman of Knoxville, TN

                                    Mike Potter of Lancing, TN

Daughters:                 Pam Armes of Wartburg, TN

                                    Sheila Lilly of White Oak, WV

                                    Lisa Bratton of Roanoke, TX

And many other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8th, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. Funeral service will follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Ben Whattenbarger officiating. Graveside and interment service will be on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at 11:00am in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood with full military honors presented by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Ellis “Red” Coleman.
