Mike "Wings" Herron

Mr. David Mike "Wings" Herron, age 76 of Spring City, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. Mike was born on October 27, 1947. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Mike was a purple heart recipient and was a part of the 1st Air Cavalry. He was also a member of the Spring City Masonic Lodge #310. He enjoyed bird watching while his vision was still good and was a faithful Vols fan, through all the ups and downs that comes with being a fan. He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles Leonard Herron & Barbara Joyce Hobbs Herron; and sister: Patricia Hayes. He is survived by:

Daughters: Jamie Parker & April Herron

Grandchildren: Anthony Frogg, Shaylyn Holt, Avery Parker

Great Grandchild: Adison Rose Holt

Sister: Janice Marie Williams

and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Cremation arrangements have been made and a private interment will be held later in the Fugate Family Cemetery. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. David Michael "Mike" "Wings" Herron.
