Curtis Eugene Bunch

July 21, 1956 — October 15, 2024

Kingston

Curtis Eugene Bunch, born July 21, 1956, in Roane County, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 15, 2024. He is preceded in death by his son Daniel, father Eugene Bunch, and grandparents Roy and Sallie Bunch and Charlie and Estie Woods.

Curtis leaves behind Shelia, his beloved wife, his mother Charlene Bunch Hall, children and spouses; Riley and Jake, Mikie and his wife Jodi, Dustin and his wife Airren and Steven and his wife Jestina. Sisters Eugenia Bunch Boyd and husband Billy and Linda Bunch, brother Mark Bunch and wife Angie, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special friends and family: Mother-in-law Rose Carroll, sister-in-law Becky and Gerald Bunch, Lavonna and Jubal Collins, Allen and Joyce Brown, Birdie and Don Mount, Kim and Steve Hankins, Tori and Jake Davis and faithful fur baby and protector, Sadie. Curtis and Shelia want to thank their neighbors for their support and the many courtesies they’ve extended to them over the years.

Curtis was a true Christian and never lost faith in God, even in the most troubling times. He worked hard to overcome obstacles and find activities he could still enjoy in his life; his favorite pastime was spending time doing anything at all with his best friend and wife of many years, Shelia. For these two it wasn’t love at first sight, but when sparks flew it was like the 4th of July. That’s probably why July 4th was Curtis’ favorite holiday! To Shelia, Curtis was the love of her life.

They built a home full of love with family always coming first. They built several businesses that were built on customer fairness. Curtis believed “fair is fair”. You treat your employees, customers, and manufacturers fairly, but you also treat yourself fairly. He built Bunch Marine from a small showroom and repair shop to the largest Marine Dealership in Tennessee by being a man of his word and believing in Customer Service. As Curtis knew the end was nearing, he made it clear that he wanted all of his Customers, Employees, and Reps to know how much he loved and appreciated them all.

All people pass but not all people live. Curtis lived!

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow with Bro. Billy Boyd officiating.
