Mrs. Charlene Ruppe Haugen, age 70, of Rockwood, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Roane Medical Center in Harriman, TN.
Charlene was born on December 7th, 1953. She was a woman of deep faith and love, and a member of 2 Rivers Church in Harriman. She cherished her children and grandchildren, and they were the highlight of her life. Charlene found joy in genealogy, puzzles, and games, always eager to share these moments with her loved ones.
For over 48 years, Charlene shared a beautiful life with her husband, Roger. Together, they raised their family in Dixon, CA, before moving to Tennessee, while also enjoying time at their home in Washington. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, filled with memories of faith, family, and a commitment to supporting missionaries and those in need.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marilyn Ruppe, and her grandparents, Benjamin and Cartie Ruppe as well as Paul & Ida Williams. She is survived by her husband, Roger Haugen; her children, Benjamin Haugen (Lindsey) and their two boys, Heidi Haugen, and Wayne Haugen (Elisabeth) and their children: Banner, Addie, and Clementine; her siblings, Gwendolyn Ervin, Terri Primas, and David Ruppe; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday September 21at 2pm at Two Rivers Roane County Campus at 319 Roddy Ln, Harriman, TN 37748. Evans Mortuary is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Charlene Ruppe Haugen. The family will have another service in California in the latter half of February 2025.
