Ms. Carolyn Sue McNelly Gibson, age 80 of Kingston, TN passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born on January 22, 1945 in Cardiff, TN to Charles Howard "Slick" McNelly and Bessie Lou Mayton Reed. She loved going shopping and watching her soap operas on tv. If she wasn't watching As the World Turns or The Young and The Restless, then she was watching her hummingbirds for hours at the feeders. She could not resist talking to anyone she could on her CB radio and she even had her girls in on it and always ended the night with, "Over and out, Country Girl". Most of all, she loved her family the most and they have always meant the world to Carolyn. She is preceded in death by her parents: Howard "Slick" McNelly and Bessie Reed; step parents: Cleo McNelly and Wiley Reed; grandparents: Samuel and Mary McNelly and William and Mary Edna Mayton; sons: Charles McNelly and David McNelly; and son-in-law: Jr. Hester. She is survived by:

The family will have a graveside service at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, TN on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Chad O’Neal officiating.
