Carlena Allen Hamby

Mrs. Carlena Allen Hamby, age 60 of Rockwood, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23^rd, 2021, at the Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville, TN. She was born on October 22^nd, 1960, in Rockwood, TN. She was a loving wife, mother, “Nana” or “Grams”, sister, and friend. She loved the beach, crafting with her grandchildren, and gardening. She previously worked as the head cashier for Simmon’s IGA in Rockwood, and later worked as a surgical technician at Roane Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents: David & Dot Allen; Grandparents: Earl & Cora Allen, J.R. Hinds & Lucille Sherman; Mother and Father-in-law: Robert & Wanda Hamby. She is survived by:

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 27^th, 2021 from 11:00 am -1:00 pm in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Steve Parker officiating. Graveside and interment service will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Patricia Neal Rehab Center at Ft. Sanders in Knoxville, TN, or the Asbury United Methodist Church in Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Carlene Allen Hamby.
