Andrew Frances Klein "Drew"

Andrew Francis Klein, “Drew”, age 42, most recently a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee and formerly of many locations where the music led him, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at his home. He was born May 7, 1982, in Pontiac, Michigan. He was a Professional Jazz Musician, playing the Upright Acoustic Bass. Music was his life. He started to play the electric bass in Junior High School, graduated to the Upright Bass as a sophomore in High School and started to play at gigs in the Detroit area the next year. After graduation, he attended 4 years of music classes at Michigan State University. His passion for music and his musical career led Andrew to many different places and opportunities including attending the Julliard School in New York City; playing Jazz for one year in Singapore; performing at Lincoln Center; and playing at various Jazz Clubs in New York City. He loved animals and was always finding a stray animal and adopting it. He also loved to travel and in addition to English, spoke Spanish and some Czech. Andrew enjoyed growing plants, was an excellent cook, and enjoyed cooking for his friends. He had many close friendships, and many friends became like family to him. He loved talking about them, as well as bragging about their accomplishments. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Klein, and stepfather, Donald McCutcheon, and cousin Matt Dyet.

Brother & Sister-in-law: Matthew McCutcheon (Melissa)

Aunts & Uncles: Michael Dyet (Maggie), John Dyet (Suzanne), Anne Dyet 

Cousins: Corey Aho, Adam Dyet, Travis Dyet, Rachel Dyet and Jeff Dyet

Also survived by many Nieces & Nephews and numerous Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Other Relatives, and many Friends.
