Mr. Robert James Johnson, also known as “Cowboy”, “Uncle Bob”, and “Cowboy Bob”, age 75, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Summit View of Farragut Healthcare Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born April 10, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. Bob was of the Baptist faith; a retired truck driver with Crete Carriers; and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He was preceded in death by his mother; Dorothy Irene Walker Johnson; dad, Clyde Leo Johnson; daughters, Rhoda Ann Johnson and Raelean Lynn Johnson; sister, Gloria Wallace; brother, Dennis Johnson; loving step-mother, Nina Johnson; and great granddaughter, Mya Faith Wolfe.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary. Family and friends will then meet on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier); 2200 E. Gov. John Sevier Hwy # 168; Knoxville, TN 37920 for graveside services and interment. Full military honors will be given by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.
