Mrs. Sudie P. Ford, age 97, a resident of the Dry Hill Community of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Victorian Square in Rockwood, Tennessee. Mrs. Ford was born April 5, 1918 in Rockwood, TN. She is a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Rockwood. She was a retired inspection supervisor with Roane Hosiery, former co-owner-operator of Ford’s fishing Park in Winton Chapel Community, and many years ago was a hairdresser and had operated a beauty shop in Harriman, TN. She was a homemaker and farmer. Mrs. Sudie was an excellent shopper and biscuit maker. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother “Gi-Gi”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne B. Ford; parents, James Robert Pierce and Eliza Jane Crabtree Pierce; sisters, Cleo Bryant, Elizabeth Green; brother, James Robert Pierce; and childhood sister, Addie Lou Pierce.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 26, 2016 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Kara Foster officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Rockwood, TN.
