Mrs. Nora McClain Spaulding Mackey age 95 passed away on September 9, 2014 after an extended illness. Nora was born on April 24, 1919 in Shelby County, KY, where she lived for seventy-two years before moving to Rockwood, TN. Nora was a homemaker and was retired form Lermans Dept. Store Shelbyville, KY where she served as a sales clerk and seamstress. Nora loved homemaking, gardening, cooking, quilting, and crocheting, feeding and watching birds. In her later years Nora enjoyed compiling scrapbooks of beautiful pictures of birds and flowers. Nora was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockwood, TN. She is preceded in death by her husbands, George Spaulding and Raymond Mackey; daughter, Cora Louise Spaulding; Parents, Cora and Clinton McClain; two brothers, Jess and Less McClain; sister, Leona McClain Von Bokern; and a son-in-law John Jamison.

Family will receive friends Friday, September 12, 2014 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary.
A funeral service will follow with Rev. Marty Shadoan officiating. Burial will be Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 3:00 pm in Grove Hill Cemetery Shelbyville, KY with Rev. Bob Raiford officiating. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Nora McClain Spaulding Mackey.
