Mrs. Evelyn Wilkey, age 94 of Rockwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Renaissance Terrace in Harriman, Tennessee. Born July 20, 1918 in the Clymersville Community of Rockwood, Tennessee where she lived her entire life. Mrs. Wilkey was a Charter Member of the Clymersville Baptist Church of Rockwood, where she was instrumental in its founding. She previously worked at the Road Side Chef, Peggy Ann Truck Stop, and the B & J Café all in Rockwood. She is preceded in death by Parents: Andrew and Esther Vitatoe; Husband: Clarence Wilkey; Sons: Fred Wilkey, Ike WIlkey; Brothers & Sisters: Arval Vitatoe, Grace Graves, and Thula Foust Gipson; Grandson: Chris Collett.

Visitation is from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the chapel of Evans Mortuary at Rockwood, Funeral will be at 8:00pm with The Rev. Charles Kelley and Rev. Chad Morrison officiating. Concluding Services and Interment will be on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11:00am in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, Tennessee. Memorials are requested to be sent to Clymersville Baptist Church, Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the family of Mrs. Evelyn Wilkey.
