Thomas “Tom” Lemons, 74, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, with his loving family at his side.
Arrangements are as Follows:
Service: Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White’s Azle Chapel.
1 p.m. Thursday at White’s Azle Chapel in Weatherford, Texas
Services in Tennessee are as Follows: Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 17, in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tenn. Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee with Full-Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard and the Roane Co. Military Memorial Honor Guard.
Bio of Tom is as Follows: Tom was born Aug. 30, 1941, in Spring City, Tenn., to Thomas Adam and Evelyn Foland Lemons. He loved his family dearly. He enjoyed Vols football and fishing and was an avid golfer when he was a young man.
Tom was a well-respected man and was loved by all who knew him. He retired from the United States Air Force at the rank of master sergeant after honorably serving for 22 years. Tom retired from Lockheed after 20 years of service. He was a member of Old Ballard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Bear Hollow, Tenn.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vicki Jean Harvey; and wife of 50 years, Norma Lemons.
Survivors: Daughter, Donna Cox and husband, Steve; sons, Steve Lemons and Paul Lemons; grandsons, Brett Cox and wife, Molly, Brian Cox and wife, Cassie, Shawn Cox and Cody Lemons; four great-grandchildren; six sisters; one brother.
