Mr. Theodore Roosevelt Jordan, Jr. was born to the late Theodore Roosevelt Jordan, Sr. and Henrietta Lang Jordan on November 22, 1937 in Hillwood, Alabama. He departed this life early Tuesday morning May 6, 2014 at SwedishAmericanHospital in Rockford, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two sisters Eunice Davidson and Mary McGee, Brother Henry Jordan, and a great-grandson Damir Henson. Theodore, better known as ‘Roosevelt’ or ‘Sonny’ graduated from Campbell High School in Rockwood, TN. He later moved to Rockford, IL where he was employed at Benny’s and Sons body shop for over 40 years. He enjoyed music, playing pool, and was known for his impeccable dancing skills and ability to use his hands. If he couldn’t fix it, it wasn’t fixable. Theodore, a loving family man, loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish many memories; Son, Jack Hickey of Dayton, TN; three daughters, Tabatha Bradford of Chattanooga, TN, Bonnie Fuzzell (Maurice Foreman) of Rockford, IL, and Yolanda (Andrew) Palmer of Atlanta, GA; five sisters, Mildred Ewing of Nashville, TN, Bonnie Davison and Barbara Swinson of Rockwood, TN, Ethel Williams of Memphis, TN, and Bernice White of Chicago, IL; one brother, Curtis Jordan of Rockwood, TN; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; special brother-in-law, Carroll McGee, Sr., and a special nephew, Carroll McGee, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are as follows: Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in The Chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Family will receive Friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm, Funeral at 1:00pm with Rev. Willie Gallaher, officiating. Concluding Services and Interment will be held following the funeral at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the Family of Mr. Theodore Roosevelt Jordan, Jr.
