Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Ray Burton, age 71 or Rockwood, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Roane Medical Center in Harriman. Mr. Burton was a Member of the Rockwood Church of Christ. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Vietnam era and then the Tennessee National Guard., He was firm in his belief in the Military. He was a Retired Security Officer with TVA, and PBA Communications. He was a Family Man, who loved his family very much. He was a Loving Father and Friend to all who ever met him. Kenneth was preceded in death by Wife of 51 years: Lois Burton; Son: Tony Ray Burton; Parents: Hardin & Elsie Burton, Sisters: Betty Kerns, Elsie Haley; Father and Mother-in Laws: Mancil & Willie Mae Barnes; Sister-in-law: Shirley Barnes Beasley; Brother-in-laws Arlis & Stanley Barnes.
He is survived by:

Sisters: Emma Todd (Allen), Jeanette Williams, Joyce Kidwell, Judy Bingham (Don), and Barbara Burton
Sister-in-law: Jenny Meredith (Kyle)
Special Aunt: Mertie Givens
Nieces and Nephews: Kayla Todd, Kathy Mitchell, Jody & Tammy Kindred, Ricky & Stacey Scott

Arrangements are as follows:
Monday, November 24, 2014, in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary, Family will receive Friends from 12:00noon to 2:00pm, Funeral will follow at 2:00pm with Bro. Kirby Hinds and Bro. Kendall Bear, officiating. Interment and Concluding Services will be held at Roane Memorial Gardens following the Funeral with Full-Military Honors by the U.S. Army and the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Evans Mortuary is serving the Family of Mr. Kenneth Ray Burton.
