Mr. James Clarence “Junior” McCullough, Jr, age 79 of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away on October 22, 2015 at Roane Medical Center with his Family by his side. Mr. McCullough was a Member and Elder of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rockwood. He was a 1956 Graduate of Rockwood High School. Jr. was a Retired 28-year Veteran of the U. S. Army Tennessee National Guard. He was a 50-year Member of the Rockwood Lodge F&AM #403, Alhambra Shriners (Chattanooga), and Scottish Rite (Knoxville). He was a Member of the Rockwood Knights of the Pythias Lodge, Past Patron of the Order of Eastern Star #382 Rockwood Lodge. Junior was a Member and Former past President of the Rockwood Civitan Club, member of the Rockwood High school Band & Tiger Football Booster Clubs, Former Chairman of the Roane County Election Commission, and served as a Board Member of the Rockwood Water & Gas Board for 2 terms. Junior was very Civic Minded and Loved the Community in which he lived and raised his Family. Most Notable was that He was Owner and Proprietor of Junior’s Restaurant in Rockwood; “Serving the Best Cup of Coffee anywhere around” for 28 years. He was a Member of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce, where his Restaurant was voted and was awarded “Business of the Year Award.” Many in the Area will remember Junior on BBB TV where he hosted the “Sunday Morning Gospel Show with Junior” and later the “Gospel Celebration Show with Jr.” Above all of his accomplishments and Life’s Opportunities, Junior was a Devoted Husband, Daddy, Brother, Poppa and Friend to all who Knew Him. He Loved his Family Very Much! He was preceded in death by Parents: James C. Sr. & Gladys McCullough; Son: Clarence Ray McCullough; Brother: Billy Kelley McCullough; Sisters: Betty Jean McCullough, Rebecca Joyce McCullough, Infant Sister Gladys McCullough, and Frances McCullough Gunter; Father and Mother-in-law: Rev. Lester and Dovie Todd; Several Brothers & Sisters-in Law, Aunts & Uncles.

Arrangements are as Follows: Monday, October 26, 2015 Family will receive Friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tennessee. Masonic Service and Funeral will be held at 7:00pm in the Chapel with Rockwood Lodge F&AM #403 performing Masonic rites, along with Rev. Mark McCullough, officiating the Funeral Service. Interment and Concluding Services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 11:00am in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood with Full-Military Honors by U. S. Army Honors and the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Family and Friends will meet at 10:00am and go in Procession from Evans Mortuary to the Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, Family requests Memorials to be sent to First Baptist Church Pre-School Program, P.O. Box #54, Rockwood, Tennessee 37854 or First Christian Church Learning Center, 328 W.
