Mr. Harry K. Bledsoe, age 73, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee, formerly of the Westel community of Rockwood, Tennessee, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Select Specialty Hospital at Fort Sanders Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born November 5, 1943 in Teetersville, Harlan County, Kentucky. Mr. Bledsoe was of the Baptist Faith and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired Assistant Boiler Maker from the Kayser-Roth Textile Mill in Rockwood. Harry enjoyed fishing; raising a garden; and watching sports, especially football, baseball, and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Warner Bledsoe and Kate Brogdlon Bledsoe; wife, Betty Jane Wyrick Bledsoe; and brothers, Kenneth Bledsoe and Bill Bledsoe.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with his grandson, Bro. Ryan Davis officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the Lawnville Cemetery in Kingston, Tennessee with military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard and the Tennessee Army National Guard. Memorial contributions may be made C/O Evans Mortuary for funeral expenses.
