Mr. Earl Roland Treadway, 87, of Johnson City, TN formerly of Rockwood, TN passed away on August 11, 2016. He was born May 8, 1929 in Rhea County to the late Tobe & Pauline Treadway. He grew up in the Ozone Community of Cumberland County, and made his home for more than 50 years in Rockwood, TN before moving to Johnson City, TN. Earl was a brick mason for Forging Steel for 20 years. Prior to being a custodian for 11 years for Roane County Schools, he worked for Burlington Industries. Earl was a charter member of Grievers Chapel Baptist Church. He also served at North Rockwood Baptist Church. Earl was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church and an active member of The William Rigell Class. He loved his church and church family. Earl loved spending his time gardening & completing home improvement projects, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, friends and church family.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene, of 45 years, & Sandra Raulston, eight years; sisters, Helen Smith, Margie Hayes, Hazel Grindle, Lois Fitzgerald; Brothers, Carl Treadway, Claude Treadway, Virgil Treadway & Bill Treadway.
He is survived by:

Arrangements are as Follows: A Celebration of Life worship will be at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm with receiving of friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Rev. Ben Whittenbarger and Rev. Wayne Mullins will officiate. The burial service will immediately follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Earl Roland Treadway
