Mr. David Lowell Gunter, age 72, of Spring City, TN passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at Roane Medical Center, Harriman. He was born April 16, 1941 In Harriman, TN to Thomas “Jack” Jackson and Thelma Gladys Phillips Gunter. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Gunter was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, the Elk Lodge, the Eagles Lodge and the V.F.W. He was a deacon of New Vision Ministries in Lansing, TN. Preceding him in death were: brothers, William Roy Gunter, David Lowell Gunter, Jr., Jimmy “Cowboy” Allen Gunter and David Brooks; and sister, Jacqueline Gunter Christopher.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. A graveside service and interment will follow the visitation in Willard Park Cemetery in Harriman with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The Family requests in lieu of Flowers Donations be made to Evans Mortuary to offset Funeral Expenses. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. David Lowell Gunter.
